Santhosh Suvarna Adds Another Strong Finish at the 2025 WSOP

Indian high-stakes poker pro Santhosh Suvarna continues to prove why he is considered one of the game’s rising stars. At the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Suvarna posted another impressive result, finishing deep in Event #22: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller (6-Handed) and taking home $50,299 (~₹42 Lakh) for his efforts.

The $25K High Roller 6-Handed is always one of the most challenging events on the WSOP schedule. The tournament attracted an elite field of 336 of the world’s best players, all competing for one of the coveted WSOP bracelets and a share of a massive prize pool.

Suvarna brought a wealth of experience and composure to the event, navigating through some of the most formidable line-ups seen at the WSOP this summer. His journey through the starting flights showcased his trademark patience, precise timing, and ability to adapt to six-handed dynamics — a faster, more aggressive format compared to full-ring play.

Throughout the tournament, Suvarna steadily built his stack, making key decisions at crucial moments. Though the competition was intense, he remained composed and focused, eventually securing a seat on Day 2 and progressing well into the money.

Suvarna has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the high-stakes poker world. A successful businessman based in India, he has combined his passion for the game with a sharp competitive mindset. He now boasts over $7.3 Million in WSOP earnings and is a familiar face at the game’s most exclusive tournaments.

His career highlights include a stunning $5.4 Million victory in the 2024 WSOP $250K Super High Roller, where he captured his second bracelet. Known for his deep composure and fearless approach, Suvarna thrives in high-pressure spots and is widely respected among his peers.

Suvarna has been playing in some other events of the current WSOP, and there is every chance that he will once again strike a big prize money along the way. Just a few days ago, he was eliminated at Event #11. Fans of Indian poker will no doubt be watching closely, as Santhosh Suvarna continues to inspire with every deep run on the world’s biggest stage.

The 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is back in Las Vegas from 27th May to 16th July, once again hosted at the iconic Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas casinos. The festival will feature a record 100 live bracelet events, offering players of all levels a diverse range of tournaments—from lower buy-ins to elite high-roller competitions.

This year’s series kicks off with the exciting $1,000 Mystery Millions, known for its massive guaranteed bounties and thrilling format. Among the fresh additions to the schedule is the creative “Battle of the Ages”, where players aged 50 and above and those under 50 will initially play in separate flights before the fields merge on Day 2. Another innovation is T.O.R.S.E., a unique mixed-game event that replaces Limit Hold’em with Triple Draw Lowball.

As always, the centrepiece is the legendary $10,000 Main Event, starting on July 2. Multiple starting flights and a televised final table are scheduled for 15th -16th July. High-stakes players can also look forward to prestigious events like the $25K, $50K, and a newly introduced $100K Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller.

With a packed schedule and unmatched prestige, WSOP 2025 promises an unforgettable summer of poker action.
