In a previous hand Chiu and Obara had war of words when Chiu with A♦ 2♣ doubled up against Obara’s 9♠ 3♦. The board revealed 5♦ 2♦ Q♠ 3♠ A♥. Chiu knocked on the table after hitting two pairs and said to Obara, “You think I don’t know my 12 big blind ranges!”

And a few minutes later both these players again clashed and Chiu was again at risk. But this time he just couldn’t dominate the hand. Chiu’s A♥ 2♥ could not hold water against Obara’s A♦ K♣ on a board that read: Jd 3♠ T♥ T♠ Xx. These cards meant it was game over for Chiu in the 11th place TWD 325,700 ($10,580).
