Roger Teska wins Caribbean Poker Party $25k MILLIONS World

The much-awaited partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party kicked off a few days back in The Bahamas, which is possibly the biggest event on the partypoker LIVE schedule for the year. Players from all across the globe have flown down to the The Baha Mar Casino and Hotel and we’re here to report the winner of one of the first tournaments to conclude.

The $25,500 MILLIONS World Event ran between 9-13 November and 394 entries registered to the tournament, with a whopping $10 million guaranteed prize pool. Coming out victorious after this 5-day event and taking home the life-changing first-place prize of $2,000,000 (~INR 14.44 crore) was USA’s Roger Teska.

Players representing 7 different countries were a part of the 9-handed Final Table and three of them took away 7-figure scores, including high-stakes pro Steve O’Dwyer who finished second for $1.3 million and Canada’s Charles La Boissonniere who finished in third place for $1 million.

“I definitely wasn’t expecting to win coming into this [tournament]. These guys know when to shove, what hands to shove with, and I don’t. Steve is a better player than I am, so I wanted to play bigger pots.” said Teska after taking home the biggest win of his career, having only around $800k in live winnings prior to this tournament.

The $25,500 MILLIONS World turned out to be a fantastic one for Teska, not only because of his massive winnings, but also because of the fact that he beat many world-class pros like O’Dwyer, Ben Tollerene, Rainer Kempe, Niall Farrell and Joao Vieira on his way to victory.
