Ritwik Khanna, Kunal Patni Among 5 Indians ITM at USOP Hai Phong Madness Kick Off

U Series of Poker’s USOP Hai Phong 2024 had one of its prestigious events wrap up over the weekend, and it was interesting to see that as many as five Indians made it to the final payouts list, including Ritwik Khanna, who was at the top of the Indians in the list, followed by Kunal Patni and others.

The event’s prize pool was VND 14,722,092,000, considerably higher than the announced GTD of VND 10,000,000,000. There were 1,582 total entries, bringing in the best of the best from the poker industry. The buy-in for a piece of poker action was VND 11,000,000. Herve Gouzil of France shipped the event and took home a prize of VND 2,150,000,000.

Indian Poker Players USOP Hai Phong Madness Kick Off Payouts

Indians have been taking giant strides when it comes to poker for the past couple of years. Many elite Indian poker players have shown off their skill and expertise in national as well as international events, with even big brands like World Series of Poker (WSOP) taking note of them entering their tournaments, like when WSOP’s social handle announced that Santhosh Suvarna, the Indian poker player and two-time WSOP bracelet winner had confirmed that he’d be one of the players at WSOP Paradise in Bahamas in 2024. Kunal Patni, too, has had a wonderful 2024, with him taking a trophy at #57: Baby Superstar Challenge at APT Phu Quoc and earlier at Event #37: Tick Tock BOOM!
