Ren Lin Ships PGT Texas Poker Open Main Event

The first-ever PGT Texas Poker Open $3,300 Main Event at Champions Club in Houston has a winner, with Ren Lin topping the 735-entry field to take home a $400,000 top prize.

After traveling and visiting family in China, Lin triumphantly returned to the PGT for the 2024 season. His emphatic win in the Texas Poker Open Main Event was his third career PGT title and 38th career PGT cash.

Lin now climbs to $5,347,335 in career PGT earnings, which is 34th all-time in PGT history. Along with the $400,000 first-place prize and championship belt buckle came 400 PGT leaderboard points. Lin is now tied for 21st place on the PGT season-long leaderboard.

Lin defeated rising star Daniel Moran in heads-up play, and it only took one hand of the duel for Lin to come out on top. On the first hand of heads-up play, Lin found pocket jacks, Moran found pocket tens, and the money went in preflop. Lin’s jacks held to give him the title.
