Rajeev Kanjani Sees Money At Super Hyper Turbo Event of APT Manila Classic 2025


Indian poker player Rajeev Kanjani joins the poker headlines by joining the ITM list of the Super Hyper Turbo Event at Asian Poker Tour 2025. He ranked 3rd in the event, which saw Wing Sheuk Sham ship the prize of PHP 90,000. Kanjani took home the prize of PHP 60,000 (₹~89,000).

The Asian Poker Tour began on the 7th and will go on until the 16th of February, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in the Phillippines. The ten-day series has a total prize pool of PHP 120 Million, which is about $2 Million.

The Main Event of APT has a GTD of PHP 60 Million ($1 Million), which is guaranteed to get some of the biggest names in the industry to the tables, flexing their skills and challenging the best in the business for the most significant share of the prize pools. 

The APT Manila Classic has 100 tournaments, and it remains to be seen how many more Indians make their mark on the winner’s lists. The tournament comprises 18 high-roller events, 16 Omaha tournaments, and 14 mixed games. Earlier, an Indian player, Raju Jaruplavath, won the Phillippines National Cup.

The Asian Poker Tour, which has existed since 2006, is one of the biggest brands in the Asian Pacific region’s poker scene. More than 100 major APT tournaments have been held worldwide in some of the hottest poker venues, including Macau, South Korea, Vietnam, India, China, London, and others. 
 
APT has been going from strength to strength, and in 2024, at APT Taipei, the company had a record-breaking 1,434 entries, and the prize pool was more than $2 Million, which was the biggest in the tour’s history. It remains to be seen what other records APT breaks and creates this year.
