Puneet Mishra Wins APT Online Championship Event


The Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Online Series India on PokerBaazi  is nearing its end. The spectacular series will end on 10th July 2022 with the conclusion of the Main Event on Sunday. The ₹50 Lakh GTD Championship Event of the coveted series concluded yesterday in a three-way deal between Puneet Mishra, Akshay Joshi and National Poker Series (NPS) 2022 Main Event winner Chirag Sodha.

The event’s advertised guarantee of ₹50 Lakh was crushed to generate a final prize pool of ₹67,60,000. The 22K buy-in event had 187 players and 151 re-entries and the top 45 players took home a portion of the prize pool; min-cash stood at ₹37,860.

After nine and a half hours of play, the remaining three players ended the marquee tournament in a deal. Mishra took home a lion’s share of ₹12,19,000 as the top prize, Joshi cashed ₹8,61,000 in the second position, while Sodha added ₹9,73,000 for his third-place finish, according to the Independent Chip Model (ICM) deal. Along with the biggest pay cheque, Mishra also grabs the coveted APT trophy and the APT ring for his victory. 

Other players who cashed at this event were Harsh Bubna (4th, ₹4,73,000), Ashish Munot (6th, ₹2,84,000), Shashank Jain (11th, ₹1,03,000), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (18th, ₹72,330), Siddhanth Kapoor (27th, ₹50,020), Vishal Bajaj (31st, ₹43,940), Ayush Garg (32nd, ₹43,940), Rubin Labroo (34th, ₹42,940), Vaibhav Sharma (39th, ₹37,860) among others.
