Pranjal Gandhi wins first Daredevil title on Spartan

Every featured tournament on The Spartan Poker is unique in its own way and every player has their own favourites too. Last night, Daredevil INR 6 Lakh GTD was hosted on the platform as it is done every Saturday night at 7:30pm and a regular Spartan player emerged victorious.

It was Pranjal Gandhi aka ‘lilmessipranjal’ who took away top honours and the top prize of the night for beating every other entry in the Daredevil tournament. At the end of the night, Gandhi struck an ICM deal with three others in 4-way play, taking away the top prize of INR 1,49,663.

Daredevil has a buy-in of INR 4,400 but all re-buys are available at INR 2,200 which is 50% of the original entry fee. Yesterday, 91 unique players and 195 re-buys were collected in the tournament, beating the guarantee and creating a fresh and bigger prize pool of INR 7.54 Lakh.

There were big pay jumps at the final stages, so these final four players thought it was wise to end the tournament with a deal. While Gandhi had the biggest chip stack at the time, ‘acedeuce’ was right behind him and this player finished second for a prize of INR 1,37,136. ‘CmeNOmore’ finished 3rd and ‘Fish4Life’ ended 4th. A 4-way deal meant that the tournament ended much earlier than most would’ve predicted, coming to an end before midnight. Level #30 of the tournament was running at that point, with the blinds at 5,000/10,000 – 1,000.

Having a long list of titles online, this is probably Gandhi’s first time winning the Daredevil on Spartan. Gutshot contacted the player to congratulate him on yet another victory. He said, “Thank you. I’m extremely delighted to have outlasted a field of good regulars and won another featured tournament on Spartan.”
