PokerBaazi is currently hosting PokerBaazi Premier League Special Edition (PPL SE) which began on 21st April 2019. The proceeds from the series will be donated to VIDYA, a non-governmental organization which is involved in education of underprivileged children. After 3 days of the PPL, which also included The Endeavour which had 2 starting flights on the first day of the series, won by Kanav Parwal. Here’s a round-up of the Day 4 happenings:
The series kicked off with this tournament which attracted 355 entries (including 160 re-entries) to the virtual felts on PokerBaazi. The top 45 places were being paid only, out of which the player to bag the highest cash prize was Aditya Kulkarni aka ‘adit11’. He took home INR 75,550 as the first-place prize money beating Suraj Rathi in heads-up, who earned INR 52,185.
The second tournament, 6-max SuperStack, of the series kicked off with INR 5 Lakhs GTD, which the total 491 entries crushing it. The resulting prize pool came to INR 6,13,750, out of which the top 63 players earned a piece. Emerging on the top was Karan Paul aka ‘Paul7788’ who took home the first-place cash prize of INR 1,19,251. He beat Vikas Yadav aka ‘nohomejerome’ in heads-up, who settled for INR 83,592 runner-up cash prize.
Naresh Rathnam aka ‘Fireexit’ took home the hefty first-place cash prize of INR 7,00,253 beating ‘Maahi13’ in heads-up. The tournament attracted a total of 317 entries (including 147 re-entries) to the felts, and among those only the top 36 players received a pay-check, after coughing up the INR 11,000 buy-in. Sumit Sapra aka ‘boronyx’ was also in the mix and finished 4th for INR 2,33,946, having shipped last night’s Destiny on Spartan too.
The biggest tournament of the day on PokerBaazi and in the series was The Vegas, feature tournament of Wednesday. The tournament attracted 789 entries (including 384 re-entries) to the virtual felts and handed out pay-checks to the top 99 places. It was almost 3 am early morning today when ‘Kingsingh69’ defeated ‘Olandir’ in heads-up and grabbed the Vegas title, along with INR 7,00,632 first-place cash prize. The runner-up too received a good amount of INR 4,91,152 after tough HU action.
The last of the PPL Day 3 events attracted 361 entries (including 185 re-entries). The top 45 places got paid, out of which ‘AK10JQ’ emerged victorious and took home INR 75,810 as first-place cash prize. He beat community regular Aditya Choudhary aka ‘macchi1089’ in heads-up and won the title. Choudhary settled for INR 53,067 as runner-up cash prize on PokerBaazi.
Day 5 of the series will kick off today starting 4 pm and two marquee events, today’s feature tournament Summit INR 30 Lakhs GTD and High Roller INR 50 Lakhs GTD will be played out.
