PokerStars India launches ‘Diwali Rush’ series

PokerStars made its grand debut in India earlier this year, launching in April 2018, but the company refrained from going all out with promotions and marketing activities. However, they are now here with their first ever Indian poker tournament series, launched during the festive season and called ‘Diwali Rush’.

This is PokerStars.in’s first online poker series and to celebrate, they will be giving out over INR 1.5 crore in guaranteed prizes to go with a PSPC Platinum Pass as well. The Diwali Rush will host a special mega-freeroll and the winner of that competition will take home the Platinum Pass, making for a journey towards prosperity for one player in the series in January 2019 at the PSPC.

Earlier this year, Sumit Sapra won a Platinum Pass at the APPT Korea series and one player will get the opportunity of a lifetime to join Sapra at The Bahamas, and to do so, players must take part in three events within the series to qualify. The series will run between 28 October and 5 November 2018.

34 events have been scheduled to take place during this time with INR 1.5+ crore in guarantees plus an INR 30 lakh GTD Main Event that is scheduled for 4 November. There’s plenty to play for including INR 30+ lakh in freerolls, deposit bonuses, second chance freeroll and the Platinum Pass freeroll. Five Platinum Passes will also be given away to the victorious team of the inaugural GPL India, so quite a few Indian players will be making their way to The Bahamas in January.
