PokerHigh conducts Online Poker Championship for Lawyers

This game of skill would only allow Advocates, In-House Counsels, Interns, and Law Students to compete. The unique way to present such an opportunity will help the entire legal fraternity of India to unify with one another.

Poker is a mind sport, taught among the leading MIT and IIM institutes. With poker booming in India and attracting numerous citizens, Muskan Sethi, one of the most renowned Indian poker players was recently honored with ‘Women’s Achievers Award’ by the President of India.

The Justice Mukul Mudgal Championship is scheduled to begin with satellites from 6^th September. An entry fee of INR 4,000 will be charged for the Main Event, but players can win tickets to the tournament for FREE. This online platform will reward its winner with a top prize of 1 Lakh rupees and the Justice Mukul Mudgal Trophy. All proceeds from entry fees exceeding INR 2 Lakh will be donated to an educational charity named Romil Seva Sanstha.

The CEO of PokerHigh, Sumit Khurana stated, “I see this as a great opportunity to engage members of the legal fraternity of India by bringing them all together for a sport which draws multiple parallels from the profession they belong to, while playing for a cause. On top of that, it will be really interesting to see them battle it out amongst one another on the poker felt.”.

Mudgal is currently the head of the FIFA Governance and Review Committee who earlier led the spot-fixing probe in Indian Premier League (IPL). His son, Dhaval, is a pro poker player of the country.

The unique tournament conducted by the 4-year old licensed online poker website, PokerHigh, will help the members of legal fraternity of India belonging from multiple professions to unify for a cause.
