World Poker Tour launches online series with partypoker!

The spread of Coronavirus has heavily impacted live poker scenario. With the poker tours being cancelled at an alarming rate, the amount of tournaments running online has increased rapidly over the past few weeks. The World Poker Tour (WPT), one of the prestigious and oldest names in the poker is heading online to provide poker players with ultimate poker tournament along with a huge prize pool.

The tournament series is scheduled to take place between 10 May to 26 May 2020, the WPT Online Series has an overall guarantee of a whopping $30 million across the entire series on partypoker. The largest tournament will be WPT Online Championship which has a buy-in of $3,200 with an impressive $5 million GTD! The winner will not only receive the gigantic trophy but also win an entry ticket to Baccarat Crystal WPT Tournament of Champions.

Mark your calendars as the WPT events specifically totals to $7 million. Players will also be interested in WPT500 and WPT DeepStack event, the former scheduled for 10 to 18 May 2020. Consisting of 10 starting flights and $1 million GTD. partypoker has announced that players who are eligible to play on partypoker can use WPT passport with registration and participation for that promotion.

Rob Yong, partner of GVC, in a video posted on social media stated, “It gives me a great pleasure to announce that partypoker will be running the first WPT Online ever in the history of the World Poker Tour.”

A few days ago, partypoker and Poker Central joined forces to bring Poker Masters online to run between 12 to 26 April. The high stakes tournament series will also guarantee over $15 million in prizes. The coveted tournament consists of 30 high rollers with buy-ins ranging from $10,300 to as high as $51,000 and the eye-catching Main Event boasts $2 million in prize pool. Event the 2020 Irish Poker Open, one of the longest running tour in Europe was to celebrate 40^th anniversary, partypoker stepped in to provide online edition featuring €1 million GTD between 6-12 April.
