Shivam Shukla conquers Spartan Mega Stack

There are a horde of weekly tournaments on all online leading platforms in India. Some of them have become fairly popular, and one of those is the Tuesday feature tournament on Spartan Poker, Mega Stack INR 12 Lakhs GTD.

The tournament was hosted yesterday on the website at 7.30 pm, usual Spartan timing for a feature tournament. The tournament drew in a total of 340 entries (including 53 re-entries and 114 re-buys) for a buy-in of INR 3,300. The top 31 places were paid out of the prize pool with the min-cash being INR 10,560.

Emerging victorious in the tournament was Shivam Shukla aka ‘broosky’. He took down the title and the first-place cash prize of INR 2,00,503 after a 3-way deal between him, ‘Themagician06’ (2^nd) and ‘Veer’ (3rd). The latter two earned INR 1,91,586 and INR 1,53,069 respectively.

Shukla would’ve been happy to strike the deal, since he lost a sizeable pot in the final hand of the tournament and his comfortable chip lead became a slender lead and the grind ahea would’ve been proportionately tough for him. The runner-up was almost catching up with Shukla but all 3 finally agreed on the chop and got good amounts.

We contacted Shukla after the win and he was happy to tell us, “Spartan is very user friendly and everything on the platform is so easy and the field was softer last night.” About his run yesterday he said, “Hands like Aces against Sixes of Themagician06 was the turning point of the match. I railed the chip leader on the Final Table with Kings against Ten-high. My experience was fantastic last night, and this is my first big win on Spartan.”

Shukla also has interest in playing live and was recently in Sikkim for the DPT Xpress 2019 powered by Adda52. He has his whole life ahead of him and this is just the start of things to come. He’ll be looking to build up his bankroll and be hoping to carry this aura forward.
