Nikita Luther, Bencb do live webinar for poker community


With the nation-wide lockdown till 3rd May, the poker fanatics have shifted to online tournaments. Now that we have plenty of time to learn and develop new skills, the online poker sites have also witnessed an unprecedented growth in traffic. A few weeks ago, the superwoman of Indian poker, Nikita Luther posted on her Instagram planning to host a webinar was eventually stunned by the overwhelming interest in the poker community. So, Luther took this initiative to help educate the newbies as well as the poker pros of the country looking forward to developing their skills!

Well, the lady needs no introduction! She is the sole Indian woman to bring home a stunning World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet in 2018. In just a few years in the live poker arena, Luther has already bagged several titles while cashing in several other events. She is already an inspiration for upcoming poker players, the live webinar of course highlighted her passion for the mind sport.

Luther also invited the world’s number one poker coach widely known as ‘Bencb’, the brain behind the poker school Raise Your Edge. Having showed his face in a YouTube video in 2019, he still prefers to go by his screen name. He has triumphed both SCOOP and WCOOP events, beaten the possibly toughest field in poker history, Bencb’s consistency is undoubtedly impressive!

With hundreds of poker enthusiasts tuning on to the live session named ‘Raising the Stakes with Nikita Luther’ on Gutshot’s Facebook page on 18th April 2020 at 7:30 pm. Luther quickly introduced Bencb as the “the man, the myth, the legend.” The poker expert gave meaningful insight throughout the one-hour session. From discussing the best ways to study poker to talking about maintaining one’s patience throughout the tournament.

Apart from that, the 20-year-old young gun Srihari Bang also joined the webinar, putting forward some valuable questions after winning an online contest. The last few minutes were devoted to hand history analysis and with over hundreds of people from the community glued to the webinar, Nikita Luther finally signed off.

Both Luther and Bang went on to complete a tiring and long grinding session later that night, proving their dedication towards the game, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively in The Beast – Hold’em High INR 50L GTD on Spartan Poker.
