Believe In Miracles, SHR Winner Ivan Lee Is Proof
If you believe in miracles then you are not wasting your time. We know of a poker player who bounced back from having just a couple of big blinds to ultimately shipping a coveted title. Yes, we are talking about Ivan Hon Cheong Lee from Hong Kong.
This poker player was down to his last few big blinds and was playing very cautiously and won two all-ins back to back (one against Punnat Punsri with a better full house). He battled a tough field and locked a heads-up session with Thailand’s All Time Money List topper Punsri and went on to grab the prestigious Super High Roller title for a sum of TWD 3,125,200. Thai player finished runner-up for a payday of TWD 19,40,000.
He also took the runner-up spot at the High Roller Megastack event at USOP Taiwan 2024. Lee’s third cash turned out to be a title win for a sum of TWD 3,125,200 (~$100,300). This payout is the biggest payout given to a title winner in the event so far.
This event paid the top 16 places and the total entries recorded were 101. The final prize pool stood at TWD 10,776,700 (~$346,456).
