Harshad Barve Wins 16.9 Lakh As IOPC’s Blaze Of Glory Tournament Ends In A Deal


The 11th edition of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) with its #MissionKhazana theme offers a massive ₹30 crore guarantee. There are a total of 140 tournaments and the winners of the tournament series get prestigious badges. The Main Event winner will be awarded a distinguished diamond studded 18K gold crown apart from the prize money won.

The IOPC #4 Blaze of Glory ₹1 crore tournament had 1500 entries in total. After being paused at the 23rd level, the game resumed on Day 2 with 222 survivors. Featured tournaments in IOPC are usually paused after the final table is set and the game is then live-streamed on the next day.  The Tournament worth ₹1+ crore was nailed by poker champion Harshad Barve aka ‘Omglukbox,’ after sealing a deal with Ashwin Vijay aka ‘A116.’ Barve laughed his way to the bank with  ₹16,97,615 while Vijay grabbed ₹12,01,434 in prize money. Barve had previously shipped the APT Highroller (2012), IOPC Elite (2019), and was placed fourth at the IPC Highroller (January 2020) among others.  

FTS 2.0 Main Event winner Siddharth Karia offered a tough fight throughout; however, ended up in 3rd place and took home a hefty ₹7,42,350 in prize money. The gameplay went on for a considerable time period and all the fiery action was live-streamed across social platforms.

FINAL TABLE RECAP

First to leave the highly-anticipated table was none other than Sachin Sharma aka ‘Ullumanati.’ He was placed eighth for ₹1,77,135. Sharma was followed by Shardul Parthasarathi aka ‘Faucet Failure’ who busted at the seventh position and received a paycheque of ₹2,50,110.

Next in the casualty line was Guneet Kwatra aka ‘GeeKay’ who busted on the sixth spot and added ₹3,26,865 to his bankroll. Following Kwatra was online reg Advait Rajguru aka ‘GTfO18’ who had a payday of ₹4,27,875. Anonymous player ‘Heartbrrkr’ finished at the fourth spot and thickened his bankroll with ₹5,46,000.

The top three players on the Final Table were FTS 2.0 Main Event winner Siddharth Karia, Ashwin Vijay, and Harshad Barve. Karia offered a tough fight throughout and is known to be a final table veteran. He busted at the third position and took home a hefty ₹7,42,350 in prize money.
