What a great Friday night it was across the leading online poker felts in the country! As promised, Spartan Poker’s Thursday events kicked off as per scheduled and we have plenty of prominent names in the industry clinching to the winner’s title! The star performer was Anant Purohit who bagged his third title this week after taking down The Elite on Spartan Poker last night. Other events like PokerBaazi’s EndBoss registered a massive field of 1,374 entries on Day 1C and Adda52 also hosted its Friday feature The Ballers. SSS #62 TGIF

Spartan Poker’s Friday fever TGIF INR 15 Lakhs GTD kick-started at 8 pm attracting a giant field of 1,204 entrants who paid INR 1,650 as buy-in amount. This brought the tournament prize pool to INR 18.06 Lakhs and the top 103 places benefited from the same. Coming out on top was Bharat Suda aka ‘bharat29’ who championed the event while his opponent Kunal Patni aka ‘TiltAtma’ settled in the runner-up position.

SSS #63 The Elite

The popular Friday flagship tourney on Spartan Poker SSS #63 The Elite INR 50 Lakhs GTD fetched 550 runners. Each entry paid INR 11,000 buy-in, smashing the advertised guarantee to collect INR 55 Lakhs in prize pool. The final number reached the top 31 finishers who walked out securing a min-cash of INR 29,950. Bagging his third title was circuit popular Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ who already took down Spartan Destiny Jr on Wednesday and PokerStars’ Highroller. Purohit eliminated ‘haayegarmi’ in heads-up last night and pocketed a 7-figure score!

SSS #54 Ultron

It was the Thursday flagship tourney on Spartan Poker SSS #54 Ultron INR 35 Lakhs GTD which stopped mid-way on 16 April and resumed yesterday at 8 pm. Topping a field of 879 entries was Siddartha Khandelwal aka ‘siddyk20’ who took down the tournament adding the winner’s title while his opponent ‘kabira speaking’ secured the second place payout. After cashing a number of events so far, undoubtedly, Khandelwal was thrilled to ship his first feature.

Gutshot caught up with the latest champion who expressed, “It feels great, no doubt about it! I usually grind at the lower stakes and have shipped a few of those. But this is my first feature tournament win and it is a completely different feeling,” he further added, “I’ve been playing MTTs for a year now and recently shifted to higher stake after I did a few courses like Upswings Winning poker tournaments and Bencb’s masterclass. Also, a lot of the credit of this win goes to Ankit Jajodia who has taught me everything I know about poker today.”

“At the final table, when 5 people were remaining, I rejected the deal twice as I was in a serious mood of shipping it outright. Eventually, I decided to take the deal as I was getting more than just 2nd place and it made sense given the variance the final table has.”

SSS #55 Super High-Roller

One of the biggest attractions SSS #55 Super High-Roller INR 65 Lakhs GTD of Thursday night that concluded yesterday on Spartan Poker pulled out a total of 155 entries after each one chipped in INR 55,000. This led to the creation of a juicy INR 77.50 Lakhs in prize pool whose biggest share was taken away by circuit Ujjwal Narwal aka ‘Lord Hendrix’ railing railed out Raghav Bansal aka ‘thatssosick’ in heads-up to bag the 7-digit score.

SSS #56 Big Bounty

Another Thursday tourney to take place on Spartan Poker last night at 9:30 pm was SSS #56 Big Bounty INR 8.5 Lakhs GTD. The entire event garnered a total of 375 entries after each paid INR 3,300. Eventually, the final prize pool was collected to be shared among the top 31 places and the one to grab the biggest chunk was online crusher Srihari Bang aka ‘bangbang99’ capturing the champion’s title while his opponent Prashant Jain aka ‘KittyGo’ settled in the runner-up position.

EndBoss

The greatest attraction in the online poker arena right now is of course EndBoss INR 5 Crore GTD on PokerBaazi. Yesterday was Flight 1C and a total of 1,374 entries chipped in INR 11,000. Amassing the largest stack of 4.65 Lakhs was Manish Yadav aka ‘manamish’ leading with 155 players to Day 2 of the battle. Following Yadav was ‘lallantap123’ (2nd) with 3.95 Lakhs and ‘kidplay’ (3rd) bagging 3.89 Lakhs.

The Ballers

Adda52’s headlining tournament The Ballers INR 17 Lakhs GTD fetched 467 entries for a buy-in of INR 7,500. Out of this only the top 49 finishers earned a paycheck from the bigger prize pool of INR 31.98 Lakhs. Riding past the field to secure the winner’s title along with INR 6.27 Lakhs in prize money was ‘amankej’ while his opponent, the winner of Spartan SSS #51 Afternoon Showdown Vaibhav Temani aka ‘vane_shado’ settled in the second position for INR 6.20 Lakhs.
