Poker players can look forward to an exciting weekend ahead with plenty of high-value tournaments to pick out from and here’s a glimpse of Friday night. Spartan Poker kicked off the new month with its fabulous Spartan Super Series (SSS) which will continue till 10 May. Spartan Poker hosted two very popular Friday tourneys, one of them being SSS #5 TGIF INR 15 Lakhs GTD. With a buy-in of INR 1,650, a giant field of 1,339 runners entered the field to crush the guaranteed amount and create a bigger prize pool of INR 20.08 Lakhs. Powering through the field was ‘nbc345’ who banked the first-place prize money while his opponent Vinay Choudhry aka ‘Dhanraj Seth’ settled in the runner-up position.
Another attraction on Spartan Poker last night was The Elite INR 50 Lakhs GTD which came with a buy-in of INR 11,000. The event pulled out a total of 526 entries creating a prize pool of INR 52.60 Lakhs. Topping the list was well-known circuit grinder Raghav Bansal aka ‘thatssosick’ who clinched to the winner’s title while his opponent Vivek Rughani aka ‘Pokerbatman27’ finished second.
PokerBaazi hosted The Ridge INR 10 Lakhs GTD last night garnering a total of 467 entries. The top 54 players locked at least INR 6K, a portion from the prize pool while the winner’s prize money of INR 2.82 Lakhs belonged to Prateek Garg aka ‘prats007’. The champ eliminated Chirag Sodha aka ‘miyagi’ in heads-up who eventually banked the second place pay out of INR 1.97 Lakhs.
At 10 pm last night Adda52 hosted Hexagram INR 3 Lakhs drawing a field of 150 entries after each paid INR 2,200. The top 15 finishers took home at least INR 4,500 and the one to grab the largest portion of the prize pool was circuit reg Anmol Mehta aka ‘anzzzzz’ who knocked out Bhavye Mittal aka ‘noobpro’ in heads-up for INR 84,750 in prize money. Mittal settled in the runner-up position for INR 55,500.
Myron Pereira aka ‘khAAbib’ rode past the field to take down PokerStars’ Uppercut INR 10 Lakhs GTD last night. The tournament attracted a total of 266 entries creating a prize pool of INR 11.65 Lakhs which was shared among the top 47 places. Ultimately, Pereira defeated Pranjal Gandhi in heads-up and clinched to the first-place prize money.
PokerStars’ Friday Euphoria INR 5 Lakhs GTD kicked off at 9:30 pm attracting 197 entries for a buy-in of INR 2,750. The event concluded after the players struck a 3-day deal and Aditya Wadhwani aka ‘adiwankenobi86’ earned the winner’s prize money of INR 78,764 while his opponent Philip Jude aka ‘minisha_lamba’ ended up in second-place for INR 65,928 and Annkur Agarwal aka ‘Flopzila’ in third place for INR 70,330.
