One of Asia’s leading poker brand – Asian Poker Tour (APT) – just concluded their first series of 2019, the APT Kickoff Vietnam. Many acclaimed Indian pros left Vietnam with a pay-check in their pockets. India’s Abhinav Iyer won the Main Event for over INR 69 Lakhs.
The second stop for APT after the Kickoff is scheduled in Tokyo, Japan. 2019 APT Tokyo Japan will run from tomorrow, the 1st of February, to 11th February 2019. The series will be their first ever in Japan and will take place at Casino Stadium.
There are a total of 9 events that will be hosted throughout the 11-day festival. The prestigious APT Main Event will have a buy-in of JPY 30k (~INR 20k) and will run for five days with three starting flights, Day 2 and the Final Table Day. The Final Table will also be livestreamed on APT’s Twitch channel and other social media.
APT Tokyo Japan will take place in two parts. The first part will run between 1st and 3rd Feb where first two flights of the Main Event will be hosted along with the side-events. The second part (8-11 Feb) will see the remaining events being hosted.
Along with the Main Event, there is another marquee event – APT Championships Event will also be hosted between 9-11 February. The buy-in of this will be fixed at JPY 25k and players from all over the region are expected to participate.
Since the Japanese government has a ban on contests with real money prizes, all the events in the APT Tokyo Japan will have prizes in the form of tickets to the APT Philippines, one of the biggest APT events of 2019. The APT Japan Main Event winner will get APT Philippines I ME ticket, Championships Event ticket, HR ticket plus free airfare and hotel stay.
