Poker Pro Isaac Haxton is New partypoker Ambassador

Isaac Haxton: An American poker player known for his accomplishments in high stakes online poker games and high roller live tournaments. With total live poker earnings of $15,879,226, Haxton is one of the best in the business. He is 15th on USA’s all-time money list and is expected to keep climbing that list.

partypoker: Launched in 2001, partypoker was among some of the first companies to have started online poker operations. They were the world’s largest online card room until 2006 and are still among the best in the industry, competing with the online poker leader – PokerStars.

In less than a month, we’ve seen a trio of poker celebrities leaving the PokerStars team – Vanessa Selbst announced her retirement, followed by Jason Mercier quitting to spend more time with his family, and finally Brazilian pro Felipe Ramos quitting the team as well. Are we slowly seeing the decline of PokerStars? Or do they have better plans in mind?

On the other hand, partypoker has gone on to sign a new ambassador in Isaac Haxton, one of the biggest names in the sport of poker. He is happy to be a part of the team and believes that partypoker could overtake PokerStars and become #1 by 2019. Here’s what he tweeted after the signing was announced – “Really pumped to be joining this team. Party are doing great things.”

Ironically, Haxton was earlier a part of the PokerStars team and resigned a couple of years back in protest of the changes to their Supernova and Supernova Elite programs. He has now joined hands with their rivals, following pros like Fedor Holz, Sam Trickett, Patrick Leonard, Jason Koon and others.

Haxton will now be seen wearing the partypoker patch at upcoming live events, including the MILLIONS Grand Final in Barcelona. Commenting on this partnership, Tom Waters, partypoker Managing Director, had this to say, “We are delighted that Isaac is joining us at partypoker. Isaac’s profile and experience makes him a perfect ambassador for the company.”
