Poker King Club Shifts Within Venetian Macao

In 2009, Poker King Club was founded and their first ever poker room was launched in the StarWorld Hotel. The Poker King Club currently has three poker rooms around the world:

• Poker King Club Macau – Venetian Macao
• Poker King Club Manila – Solaire Resort and Casino, Philippines
• Poker King Club Korea – Maison Glad Hotel Jeju, South Korea

Recently, they shifted the home of the club in Macao, relocating next to the Red Dragon Noodles outlet of the main gaming floor, from its earlier location in the Phoenix-themed zone on the same floor. The move was made just before the final of the inaugural Suncity Cup 2017 final, which was to be hosted in the King Poker Club Macau. An official launch ceremony for the new club was also held, with top officials attending the ceremony.

This poker series which was launched in August 2017 boasted of a whopping HKD 8 million guaranteed prize pool, which is a culmination of quite a few tournaments across several venues of Asia. Before coming to the final in Macao, the series had stops in South Korea & Philippines as well. Players from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and other countries participated in the tournament.

The tournament final, which was held on 2nd December 2017, was an epic one, with Korea’s Jee Ho Lee finishing with a hefty payday of HKD 1,605,472. When the tournament reached the heads up stage, the two players cut a deal, deciding on an Independent Chip Model (ICM). While Jee Ho Lee secured a big cheque, second placed Sparrow Cheung (Hong Kong) also got a good pay-out of HKD 1,445,528.
