Poker Dream Malaysia 17 Dates Announced

Poker Dream has announced its upcoming poker series, Poker Dream 17, which will take place at the Genting Highlands from 10th to 21st April. There aren’t many details available currently, and we are sure they will trickle in as the date nears. Currently, the social media post that was shared reveals that the Main Event will have a MYR 5 Million GTD.  The post then details that the Main Event will have multi-level buy-ins.  More details about the series are awaited.

Prior to this, the most recent event in Malaysia was Poker Dream 16 at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World. It took place between February 11th and 24th and featured 43 trophy events catering to a wide range of poker enthusiasts. The Main Event had a GTD of MYR 4,000,000.

Several Indians have been ITM in various Poker Dream events, and in 2024, India’s Nishant Sharma made history by shipping three Main Events of Poker Dream: 10, 11, and 13. It remains to be seen how many Indians make their way to Poker Dream this time and how many of them take home some serious cash.

Prior to that, Poker Dream 15 took place from  16th to 26th January 2025 at Genting Highlands. The event featured a variety of tournaments catering to different skill levels and buy-in preferences, ensuring that both amateur and professional players had opportunities to compete.

Poker Dream is one of the more popular poker series in Asia and is one of many series that give poker players worldwide an opportunity to test their skills against others. 

The Main Event, with a buy-in of MYR 5,000, drew significant attention and participation, contributing to a substantial prize pool. The Genting Highlands venue, renowned for its world-class facilities and scenic location, provided an ideal setting for Poker Dream 15.
