Phil Ivey has done it once again, with the poker veteran reaching the $40 Million lifetime live tournament mark after shipping a title at Triton Poker Series London. With the $60,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Turbo event, Ivey recorded his umpteenth major poker win in grand fashion.
Often considered to be amongst the greatest poker players of all time, Phil Ivey claimed his fourth Triton win and pocketed $1,007,000 by defeating a field of 61 entrants. Despite having a roller coaster outing at the recently concluded World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023, the Poker Hall of Famer bounced back in style and recorded a huge win. He also receded two other cashes, which included a runner-up finish in Espen Jorstad $20,000 Mystery Bounty.
The GOAT 🐐 🇺🇸 @philivey for the win! 🏆 In a turbocharged whirlwind of cards and adrenaline, Ivey emerges as the blazing champion of Event #12 $60k NLH Turbo, winning a total of $1,007,000 💰!

The final table saw Ivey defeat the likes of Sam Greenwood, Aleksejs Ponakovs, and Nick Petrangelo to earn his 11th career seven-figure score. The final nine sat down to battle for the glory after Santhosh Suvarna busted in 10th place ($91,500), with Ivey being the chip lead.
The final table saw PokerGO founder Cary Katz send Greenwood home in ninth place earning $104,000. It was the same player that busted out the next two players on the table as Wai Yong bowed out in eighth place for $137,200 while Tan Xuan was slotted seventh for $175,700.
Ivey busted out Biao Din for sixth place for $223,200, while Petrangelo eliminated Ponakovs at fifth place for $285,500. Later on, Ivey would again use pocket jacks to bust an opponent, with Rodrigo Selouan walking away in fourth place for $360,000 during a four-handed play to a point where everyone almost found themselves in an all-in-or-fold situation.
The American trio of Petrangelo, Ivey and Katz were left as Ivey managed to knock out Petrangelo for $468,900, leaving him to play heads-up play against Katz. The final hand of the event saw Katz hold A♥K♣ against Ivey’s Q♦7♥ with two queens popping up on the flop. Ivey went on to claim first place to pocket $1,007,000 in prize money, while Katz walked away with $715,500 as runner-up.
