PGT PLO Series: Matthew Wantman Ships Maiden PGT Title  


PokerGo Tour (PGT) PLO Series II kicked off this week at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The first event of the series, Event #1: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha, was won by Matthew Wantman for $150,500. It was Wantman’s first PGT title.

 The event drew a field of 172 entries, and in the end, it was Wantman topping Jim Collopy in heads-up play. At Friday’s final table, Wantman slipped to the shortest stack with six players remaining. He ran his stack back up to take the chip lead and went on to victory from there.

About PGT PLO Series II

PGT PLO Series II is the second edition of the PGT PLO Series series. The series features 10 pot-limit Omaha tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $2,100 to $25,200. PGT PLO Series II is part of the PokerGO Tour (PGT), with players eligible to earn PGT leaderboard points for finishing in the money in events. There is a PGT PLO Series II series leaderboard that ranks the players by points earned. 

The player to finish with the most points and top the leaderboard through the nine qualifying events (Event #10 is excluded) will be crowned the PGT PLO Series II champion and win the series’ $25,000 championship bonus.
