It has been a fantastic 2018 World Series of Poker so far for budding Indian poker pro, Paawan Bansal. He’s had three major cashes in the WSOP 2018 series so far, including finishing 13th in the WSOP Colossus Event for $35,087, 74th in the Double Stack Event for $6,803 and 30th in the $2.5k NLHE Event for $12,345.
With combined winnings of over $54k so far in the series, Bansal is all set to record his 4th WSOP 2018 cash, having made it to the money in Event #51: $1,500 NLHE Bounty. In a single day of play, 1,982 entries were recorded to create a prize pool of $2.675 million, of which the top 298 players are to be paid a minimum of $1,415.
Bansal has finished Day 1 as one of the chip leaders, with 98,700 in chips, compared to the chip leader’s 197,800. 298 players go through and when Bansal comes out tomorrow, he will be looking to continue his hot run, with an eye on his maiden WSOP bracelet and the top prize of $272,504. Quite a few bracelet winners are among the mix, so it won’t be easy for the Indian poker pro.
Top 10 chip counts:
Today seems to be a good day for Indian poker players at the WSOP 2018. In another event, Aditya Agarwal has progressed to Day 3 of the tournament and is among the top 5 chip stacks. Hopefully, both do well again tomorrow and India’s hopes of a gold bracelet in WSOP 2018 will remain alive. Keep reading GutshotMagazine.com for daily updates on WSOP 2018 events.
