Nishant Sharma has shown his wondrous poker skills at Poker Dream 13, which is happening in Malaysia. He had a gritty play at Event #14 Pot Limit Omaha and took home RM 23,000 (~₹4,34,624). The total prize pool was MYR 68,100.
Sharma has been playing poker for the past few years and has participated in domestic and foreign tournaments and series. His top cash to date is $230,475 at Event #65, the Main Event Championship of the 49th World Series of Poker, when he ranked 34th. John Cyn won that event and took home a prize of $8,800,000.

Sharma seems to have come a long way from his first cash, which happened in 2017 at the Main Event of the Deltin Poker Tournament when he took home ₹63,000. The Indian poker player has shown his skills at several poker venues, including several WSOP events in 2023. Sharma had earlier shipped the Poker Dream 11 ME in August this year, taking home RM 811,629 (~₹1.53 Cr). Interestingly, he had also shipped the ME of Poker Dream 10. His effortless wins at the event are proof of his poker prowess.
His performance at Poker Dream 13 is sure to infuse a whole new confidence in not just him but other aspiring poker players as well. Sharma is one of the several Indian poker players who are growing from strength to strength in the poker industry, and it seems to be just a matter of time before the poker player goes toe to toe with some of the most exciting names in the industry. Poker Dream 13 is the 2024 iteration of the renowned Poker Dream Tour. It has been ongoing since the 15th of November and will wrap up on the 24th of the same month. The series is hosted at Resorts World Genting and features a poker lineup that has something for everyone, including high-roller tournaments, Mystery Bounties and a MYR 5,000,000 Main Event.
It is series and events like these that act as an onus for the poker industry on a global level. With this win, Sharma has proven his prowess on the felts and has definitely gained a loyal fan following overnight.
