Nishant Kumar Takes ₹1 Cr+ At APT Taipei 2025 Main Event

The Indian poker player Nishant Kumar has shown off his poker playing skills at APT Taipei. He has successfully clinched a place in the top ten of the ITM lists of the Main Event. He snagged 5th place at the APT Taipei Main Event, taking home more than ₹1 Crore.

The Main Event had TWD 70 Million GTD, and the prize pool rose to a staggering TWS 121 Million. 375 people cashed out of a total of 2547 players. The player who topped the list was Akira Takasugi, who took home TWD 19,359,440 and one ticket to the APTC Main Event. Kumar lost out on the ticket by just one post, as the top three players got the said ticket.

Nishant Kumar ranked 5th, and other Indians were on the list as well. Rishi Mehra ranked 44th and took home TWD 307,500. Asish Kumar Ghosh took home TWD 89,500. Amanpreet Singh, Sumit Sapra, and Sriram Arun took home TWD 89,500 and 85,000, respectively. Nishant fell to Mat Leong when the latter won with a full house of Jacks full of Sevens as compared to Nishant’s two pairs.
