National Poker Series Announces Dates For National Poker Champion Week


The 2025 Natiomal Poker Series, which was hosted on PokerBaazi, has reached its final stage – the National Poker Champion Week, to be held in Goa. And NPS recently announced the dates for the National Poker Week, The tournament series will take place between 13th April and 17th April.

The National Poker Series has been one of the most exciting online tournament series that brought to their virtual felts some of the biggest poker players with a unique concept. At the end of it all, 12 players  will now clash it out for the biggest prize of it all – a ₹1 Crore Grand Prize.

Also, contestants from the State of the finalists get a chance to play free roll events on the PokerBaazi app, which has a total prize pool of ₹1 Crore. The 12 contestants are, of course, some of the biggest names on the Indian poker scene, and it remains to be seen who takes the prize. 

The National Poker Series (NPS) India has emerged as the premier platform for poker enthusiasts nationwide, showcasing the game’s blend of skill and strategy. Since its inception in June 2021, NPS has consistently elevated the standard of competitive poker in India.

The fifth edition, held from February 23 to March 24, 2025, was a landmark event, boasting an unprecedented ₹100 Crore prize pool and attracting over 600,000 entries. Hosted on PokerBaazi, NPS 2025 featured a series of tournaments where top performers were honored with gold, silver, and bronze medals, emphasizing the championship’s prestige.cla

Bhanu Prakash from Karnataka clinched the top spot on both the India and Series Leaderboards, affirming his dominance in the field. Delhi’s Bhavye Mittal secured the Main Event title, earning a gold medal and an impressive ₹94.26 lakh in prize money.

The series culminated in the “Night of Glory,” a grand celebration attended by cricket icon Shikhar Dhawan, who drew parallels between the strategic depths of poker and cricket. This event not only celebrated the champions but also underscored the growing recognition of poker as a mind sport in India.

Looking ahead, the top 12 state champions are set to compete in the inaugural National Poker Champion Showdown in Goa from April 13 to 17, 2025. The victor will unlock an exclusive ₹1 Crore freeroll tournament for players from their home state, further incentivizing regional participation and elevating the competitive landscape of Indian poker. 

With such major tournaments working both online and offline, it seems that the poker scene in India is all set to see some great developments.
