‘mrgr33n’ is first Destiny 4.0 winner on Spartan

Destiny’s third edition concluded last week with ‘shark attack’ claiming the Destiny finale on 7 January 2018 at TheSpartanPoker.com. The winner of the finale takes a package worth INR 10 Lakhs which also includes $10,000 in tournament buy-in, return flight tickets to Las Vegas and of course hotel stay for the duration.

This is the first week of Destiny 4.0 and here we have the first winner in ‘mrgr33n’ claiming the Destiny title for INR 5,62,500 and also a ticket to the Destiny SnG Finale worth INR 1,00,000 which will be held on 18 March 2018 at 6:30 pm.

‘mrgr33n‘ outlasted 463 entries in total to grab a seat for the Destiny SnG Finale where the tournament was guaranteed INR 25 Lakhs. The prize pool was distributed to top 40 places with a min-cash of INR 15,000. ‘mrgr33n’ defeated ‘minkstaa’ in the heads-up battle where the final hand happened in the Level #48 with blinds running hot 35,000-70,000-8,750. Just like many other final hands, both the heads-up opponents pushed all their chips in between pre-flop. ‘mrgr33n’ had 9c 9h and ‘minkstaa’ had Ad Kh. The board ran 9s 8s 2d Th 5s giving three of a kind, Nines to ‘mrgr33n’ and no help to ‘minkstaa’. ‘minkstaa’ took second place for INR 4,12,500.

Speaking to ‘mrgr33n,’ said, “The structure of the tournament was nice, and I was 5/5 with 5 people left but always felt confident about my chances.”
