#MondayMotivation With Poker Champion Siddharth Karia

It is Monday again and we are looking for motivation to keep the day going. This time we chose none other than poker pro Siddharth Karia to find out what keeps him motivated through various ups and downs of life and his game. This poker fanatic has been in the industry since a few years now. He has shipped several high-value tournaments and was last seen on Gutshot’s live stream talking about his experience at Final Table Series by India Poker Championship.

Here’s what Karia has to say about the game and all that it offers.

Is there a set formula which has worked for you with respect to your game?

No, I have no set formulas. I have only tried to be extremely self aware; made changes with respect to the game, keeping in mind what works for me. However, a common trend that I follow is to check the results of any game, study it and work on it later.

How do you think aspiring poker players stay motivated?

Aspiring poker players should believe in the process and try to have fun as well. The fun element of the game is quite underrated.

How do you deal with losses in your games?

I play within my bankroll, so far hasn’t bothered me much. If anything, losses surely push and inspire one to work more.

What message would you like to give to the players who look up to you?

I must say there are better players to take inspiration from, especially those who have dominated the game and the industry for the past 10 years or more. But, if there are players who look up to my game, I would ask them to have loads of fun in the process of learning and earning. Karia, who celebrated his birthday yesterday, is back on track already. He shipped the FTS Season 1 HeadHunter and is pumped up to take on the challenges in the upcoming poker festivals too.
