With a buy-in of INR 2,200, a total of 755 entries joined the field of ReCharge INR 12 Lakh GTD on Spartan Poker crushing the guarantee to collect INR 15.10 Lakh prize pool. It took 8+ hours for the competition to end and it was well-known circuit grinder Pranay Chawla aka ‘kabira speaking’ to ride past the field and take down the headlining tournament. Chawla defeated Sasi Kiran aka ‘sasikiranx’ in heads-up and banked the first-place cash prize. While Thursday’s The Pride champ Rahul Kumar aka ‘sttoned’ settled in the 3rd place.
Another attraction on Spartan Poker was Deep Freeze INR 5 Lakh GTD which garnered a field of 86 entries after chipping in INR 4,400. The top 11 spots received a paycheck. At 3:47, the last man standing was Naresh Veeravalli aka ‘FreeFlow’ who knocked out ‘Bhanu2123’ in heads-up to claim the first-place prize money.
PokerBaazi’s headlining tournament The Bout INR 10 Lakh GTD drew a field of 437 entries to slightly surpass the guarantee and draw INR 10.39 Lakh in prize pool. The top 54 players received a paycheck of INR 5K. Powering through the field to claim the prize money for his victory was Pranav Desai aka ‘GarviGujarat’ who railed out Mrinal Manna aka ‘booyah’ in heads-up to bag INR 2.2 Lakh in prize money. Desai’s opponent earned INR 1.54 Lakh for settling in the runner-up position.
Fate was in favour of Pranav Desai aka ‘GarviGujarat’ who rode past the field once again to triumph Monday MegaStack INR 3 Lakh GTD on PokerBaazi. The event drew a total of 103 entries out of which the top 12 finishers earned a min-cash of INR 6K. Desai eliminated ‘vjuneja’ in heads-up and claimed the second title for INR 59.13K in prize money.
Monday on Adda52 is reserved for flagship tournament Inception INR 10 Lakh GTD for a buy-in of INR 3,300. The top 38 places earned a slice of INR 12 Lakh prize pool but the one to take home the largest chunk was ‘Hell12’ who added INR 2.14 Lakh to his bankroll after topping the field while his opponent Shravan Chhabria aka ‘sweatmyass13’ captured INR 2.04 Lakh and settled in the second place.
At 9:30 last night, PokerStars hosted INSCOOP – 182 INR 5 Lakh GTD which attracted a field of 229 entries. The buy-in to the tournament was INR 2,500 which collected a total of 5.20 Lakh in prize pool and the top 39 places earned a min-cash. Seizing the day after knocking out ‘hzgod’ in heads-up was circuit grinder Anirban Das aka ‘nocluewho’. Das triumphed the event for INR 1 Lakh in cash prize while his opponent walked out with INR 74K.
Gutshot caught up with the champ who said, “The lockdown has given me the opportunity to put in volumes and re-learn the game, so just some of that bearing fruit right now.”
