Monday Roundup: Ashish Ahuja grabs second consecutive titles!


After a rollercoaster Sunday ride, Monday had fewer tournaments in comparison. But the surge of players across the leading online poker felts remained the same. Spartan Poker’s ReCharge displayed INR 18 Lakhs GTD running simultaneously with other tourneys. The PMVS ended on PokerBaazi and last night hosted The Bout INR 10 Lakhs GTD. Also, Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) is now nearing its end. And here is a list of winners who conquered the Monday night…

ReCharge

The famous Monday tournament ReCharge INR 18 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker kicked off at 8 pm last night. A total of 973 hopefuls registered themselves after paying INR 2,200 which led to the creation of slightly bigger prize pool of INR 19.46 Lakhs, locked by the top 87 finishers. It was Ameya Gokhale aka ‘Enchashed’ to outlast the field after defeating Nitin Arora aka ‘philhermouth’ in heads-up who settled for the runner-up position.

Deep Freeze

Circuit reg Vaibhav Sharma took down Deep Freeze INR 8 Lakhs GTD on Spartan Poker last night at 3:34 am. A total of 107 entered the field, paying INR 6,600 which created the final prize pool of INR 8 Lakhs GTD. Sharma playing under the username ‘Nikka Zaildar’ beat Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno’ in heads-up and seized the first-place prize money.

The Bout

A total of 614 entries pounced on the field of The Bout INR 10 Lakhs GTD on PokerBaazi after each of them individually paid INR 2,750. The advertised guarantee was smashed to become INR 15.35 Lakhs in prize pool and the top 72 places earned quite well. Coming out on top after already taking down AOPS Big Slick on Adda52 for INR 5.47 Lakhs, circuit popular, Ashish Ahuja aka ‘rocky3705’ rode past the field last night and grabbed the winner’s title along with INR 2.9 Lakhs in prize money! Ahuja defeated ‘Urfish’ in heads-up who collected INR 2.03 Lakhs.

AOPS Inception

Adda52’s headlining tourney AOPS Inception INR 12.5 Lakhs GTD displayed a fixed buy-in of INR 3.5k. The event kicked off at 8 pm eventually drawing a total of 598 entries out of which only 63 managed to earn a min-cash. Capturing the first-place prize money was Vidwath Shetty aka ‘phoenix66990’ who secured INR 3.29 Lakhs while his opponent Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkif’ earned the second place payout of INR 3 Lakhs.

Monday Hustle

Monday flagship tourney on PokerStars was Monday Hustle INR 10 Lakhs GTD which pulled out a total of 225 entries who paid INR 4,400 each to enter the field. The competition ended after the players struck a 4-way deal which saw ‘shinchan786’ topping the list for INR 1.45 Lakh while ‘rdx1111’ settled in the second place for INR 1 Lakh, ‘vinaash’ in the second position for INR 1.38 Lakh and ‘Poker_Basilisk’ in the 4th place for INR 1.31 Lakh.
