Microgaming brings its poker network to Bulgaria

One of the movers and shakers of the worldwide poker industry, Microgaming has now begun its operations in the European country of Bulgaria. Registered in the Isle of Man, the company is now live and kicking, operating their 7777.bg poker platform in Bulgaria. The deal was brokered between Microgaming and one of the leading brands in Bulgaria, called the National Lottery AD

The move comes in line with their strategic goal of increasing its presence and dominated key regulated markets worldwide. With National Lottery AD’s strong position in Bulgaria, the partnership is the first time the Bulgarian gaming operator has introduced an online poker software to its consumers through the 7777.bg site.

Bulgarians can now enjoy Microgaming’s new and improved software which also features a rich and popular player friendly tournament structures and promotions.

Andrew Clucas, Chief Operating Officer at Microgaming, stated, “This marks a significant step in growing the poker network and reflects our commitment to continued growth and expansion into regulated markets. We are delighted to work with National Lottery AD as their exclusive supplier of poker in Bulgaria.” The deal was brokered through the software reseller Prima Networks.

Milen Ganev, Managing Partner of National Lottery AD also commented on the development, saying, “This strategic partnership enables us to continue to diversify our product offering and to deliver entertaining and award-winning poker games to our customers. We look forward to our Bulgarian customers playing on Microgaming’s feature-rich poker solution.”

The Bulgarian Trade Association of Manufacturers and Operators (BTAMOI) released some of the tax figures this week, and they reveal an uptick in the tax contribution from the national market for the first nine months of 2018.
