Matt Chitrahanjan, Blue Tokai Co-Founder, Takes Home First Founders Poker Series Trophy

Matt Chitrahanjan, the co-founder of Blue Tokai, is as comfortable in a board meeting as he is at the poker table—and his recent win in the Founder Poker Series proves that. The event ran from 5th to 12th April with online qualifiers, and the Final Table was a live event in Goa. The Final Table went on between 2nd and 4th May.

The Invitation-Only event was unique in India. There was no buy-in, and the prize pool was ₹50 Lakh. More than 150 founders applied for the series. The eligibility criteria for funded startups were $5 million in funds for venture capital-backed companies and $5 million in annual revenue for boot-strapped companies. The series is a collaboration between PokerBaazi and Offline.

The tournament’s founders included Ravi Mittal, the founder of Socioboxx; Sumit Lakhani, the Deputy CEO of Awfis; Utsav Somani, the founder and CEO of Offline; and Varun Ganjoo, the co-founder of Baazi Games. The CEOs of several companies congratulated the winner, including Anirudh Bhardwaj, the CTO of Recur Club.
