Martin Tsvetanov has created a personal record at EPT Prague. European Poker Tour’s EPT Prague is currently underway and bringing out a solid list of winners. The poker tournament has now broken the record for the biggest prize pool for an EPT Main Event.
This time, the €1,100 Eureka Main Event had 4,732 entries, and the prize pool was €4,542,720. Bulgaria’s Martin Tsvetanov took home the trophy and €449,034 after a heads-up deal with Gerald Karlic of Austria, who took home €396,086.
At the start of the final day, Tsvetanov appeared to have a clear path to victory, holding the strongest position. However, his journey to the trophy was far from straightforward. The turning point came when the competition narrowed to three contenders.
Tsvetanov’s standing dropped significantly, leaving him with a precariously small stack. Despite the setback, he made a remarkable comeback by doubling his stack twice against Karlic, reviving his chances. The decisive moment arrived when Tsvetanov’s ace prevailed over Ricardo Caridade’s queens, eliminating the Portuguese player in third place and restoring Tsvetanov’s lead.
Bulgaria’s Martin Tsvetanov rides a final day rollercoaster to top the record-breaking Eureka Main Event at #EPTPrague, banking €449,034 after a heads-up deal.
