Manish Lakhotia takes down Mega Freeze on Spartan

The Mega Freeze INR 5 Lakhs GTD is an online poker tournament played in Spartan Poker. This is the only featured tournament played in freezeout format, where once you bust there is no coming back. Yesterday’s tournament saw 100 players entering the tournament. The event saw a prize pool of INR 5 Lakhs which was shared among the top 15 places who received minimum cash of INR 9,000. Manish Lakhotia was the player who after long hours of grinding, walked away with top prize money and adding another significant title to his online poker CV in the process.

In Level #34 (4,000/8,000 ante 600) Lakhotia played against Guneet Kwatra aka ‘guntz’ in heads-up. Stack-wise, Lakhotia (Qc As) was ahead holding 850k chips against the opponent’s (3s 3d) 140k stack when the final hand of the tournament took place. In the pre-flop action, Lakhotia raises 12k and Kwatra holding his cards confidently raises 1.3L and moves all-in. Lakhotia makes the call. The board opens Qh 8h Tc 8d 5h and with that, Lakhotia’s two pair of Queens and Eights against Kwatra’s Sevens and Threes enables him to take down the pot and title.

Lakhotia plays as ‘thekid’ on Spartan Poker and his win last night allowed him to make another addition to his poker bankroll. He was last recorded to finish 4^th in WPT Pro Poker Club Superstack Classic, Ho Chi Minh. In addition to this, he was also a winner at 2019 NLH, APT Vietnam 2019.
