Manila Super Series 8 kicks off

The eighth edition of the PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series is scheduled to take place between 2-8 July 2018, at the City of Dreams Manila. Having taken off yesterday, the tournament series is a 7-day event hosted by PokerStars, which will attract top players from Asia and around the world. A very successful Manila Super Series 7 took place less than a couple of months ago, as Manila is one of the best gambling destinations in Asia.

The event will be awarding Platinum Passes to the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) worth $30,000 each. The series will also feature 15 official Asia Player of the Year (APoY) events, and the major highlights of the series are set to be (all figures in PHP – Philippine Piso):

• PHP 1 Million GTD Warm-up Event,
• PHP 500,000 GTD Megastack Event,
• PHP 3 Million GTD Main Event.

The much-awaited Main Event will take place between 5-8 July and will have a buy-in of PHP 10,000 (~INR 12,840). The winner of this Main Event will take home a handsome prize for first place, plus an entry to the APPT Manila Main Event (August 2018) and a $30,000 Platinum Pass. Here’s today’s schedule for Day 2 of the series:

• 12:00pm: Warm-up Satellite – PHP 1,000 (880+120)
• 2:00pm: Warm-up (PHP 1 Million GTD) – Day 1C – PHP 5,000 (4,400+600)
• 5:00pm: Warm-up Satellite – PHP 1,000 (880+120)
• 7:00pm: Warm-up (PHP 1 Million GTD) – Day 1D – PHP 5,000 (4,400+600)
• 8:00pm: Megastack Satellite – PHP 1,000 (880+120)
• 10:00pm: PHP 3,000 Deepstack Turbo – PHP 3,000 (2,640+360)
