Leon Tsoukernik, the owner of King’s Resort, has stepped up to help put a roof over the heads of Ukrainians who became homeless due to the Russian invasion of their country. Former PokerStars Pro player Eugene Katchalov, who has a dual nationality (Ukrainian and United States) had also earlier tweeted stating that he was leaving Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, as the Russian forces advanced into the city. Katchalov and his wife escaped safely and are now in the Czech Republic.
Katchalov later revealed that Tsoukernik has set up facilities that are fully equipped to accommodate up to 500 refugees. Tsoukernik has personally rented multiple hotels in Marinske Lazne, Czech Republic, where Ukrainians can stay free of cost and is also providing them with meals for free. He will provide these aids/services for at least one month and is prepared to extend them if needed. Tsoukernik is also offering legal support for those seeking refugee status, medical insurance, and has assured a job for those interested.

Apart from Tsoukernik, businessman and poker player Tony G has also opened the doors of his property TonyResorts, located in Lithuania. The resort is currently providing temporary accommodation to over 70 Ukrainians, especially children and families with pets.
Additionally, Tony has already helped transport over 300 Ukrainian children to Lithuania, by collaborating with the Lithuanian Gediminas Legion charity.
In these hard and uncertain times you have to share flashes of positivity. Today, TonyResort is temporarily accommodating more than 70 people who have escaped from the war in Ukraine, most of them children.
