Kunal Patni has once again made the Indian contingent proud with his exploits at the felts, this time at the Tick Tock BOOM! Event #37 at APT Phu Quoc 2024. Patni shipped the event and took home VND 93,449,200 (~₹3,11,127), beating a total of 46 entries. The runner-up in the race was Seiji Sasaka from Japan, who took home VND 64,590,000.

Gutshot Magazine congratulates Kunal Patni on his enormous win. He has had a great time at the APT Phu Quoc events up until now. He had earlier taken home VND 35.70 Million (~₹1.19 Lakh) at Event #19: VND 4 Million Tick Tock BOOM! Super Hold’em. Before that, he registered for Event #1, the Vietnam National Cup, for VND 5 Billion GTD and reached the final table, ending his run in 9th place. He took home ND 82.27 Million (~₹2.74 Lakh). Patni is one of the most popular poker players in India and routinely plays the game on foreign shores. He has had an excellent 2024 as far as his poker journey is concerned, as he was the captain of Deccan Aces, the winning team at the Poker Sports League 6.
He inspires younger poker players worldwide, especially Indian players who aspire to make a name for themselves in the poker sector. In an interview with Gutshot Magazine, Patni revealed that he no longer plays for money but more for the recreational aspect. Of course, he is still awaiting a chance to win the biggest prize of them all in poker, the WSOP bracelet.
According to Hendon Mob, his total live earnings are $1,048,132 at the time of writing this article. His highest cash was in 2018, at the World Poker Tour—WPT European Championship, Berlin, when he placed 2nd at the No Limit Hold’em WPTDeepStacks—Berlin, taking home $115,819. He lost to Dustin Mangold, who shipped the event and took home $162,403.
