Griff started playing poker in 2015, beginning with $1/$2 No-Limit Hold’em cash games during his college years at Arizona State University. He attributes his success to his keen understanding of his table image and his ability to adapt to the dynamics of the game.

As per a news report by Card Player, Griff primarily plays cash games, and has termed his adventures in poker as a ‘hobby’. He mentioned to the publication that he plays poker for fun. The news report also stated that the American has a keen interest in poker variants like Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) apart from No-Limit Hold’em.
