In June, KKPoker announced David Dongwoo Ko as their brand ambassador. Dongwoo is a Canadian poker player who is slowly but surely gaining popularity. According to Hendon Mob, his first cash was in 2022, when he placed 12th at the Ring Event 6 at the World Series of Poker Circuit in Los Angeles and took home $630. During his time, he shipped some events.

In 2024, he placed first in the money list at Event #5 of the World Poker Tour—WPT Montreal Championship, taking home $319,216. In the same year, he shipped Event #12 of the WSOP International Circuit—WSOPC Calgary and wrote a cheque for $11,309.

KKPoker offers different poker variants, including Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Short Deck, to players. It also hosts tournaments and cash games and offers a poker experience that would suit recreational and professional players.

Poker companies have been signing up big names as brand ambassadors for a while now. Earlier this year, WPT Global signed Xue Hong-Wei as their brand ambassador. Being an ambassador for a brand is exciting, and it also brings a considerable amount of money to the said player. Along with this,  the ambassadorship opens up new venues of poker play for the individual, which again gives them an opportunity to win at the felts. For the company, an ambassadorship means that they get a ready-made fan base for the said individual. In some cases, even Hollywood celebrities either play a poker game or sign up as celebrities. Recently, former Avengers’ Hawk Eye Jeremy Renner hosted a poker showdown in Las Vegas.
