Joakim Andersson Clinches GGSF Super MILLION$ ME Title


The latest news reports about the ongoing GG Spring Festival 2021 state that poker player Joakim Andersson has won the GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H title, which had a buy-in of USD 10,300. This tournament was one of the highly anticipated online poker event this week. The GG Spring Festival 2021 is the largest edition of the weekly high-stakes showdown on GGPoker. The tournament had a massive participation. Total 1,089 entries battled it out on the poker platform. The top 125 players earned a pie from the USD 10,890,000 prize pool. That is a lot of money.

Now, lets dive into the fun and action that took place during this nail biting tournament. The thrilling action on this poker room had reached it conclusion when player Joakim Andersson bagged the prestigious Super MILLION$ title. What more can a player ask for. This victory is sweet, but the journey to grab the top is even more sweeter. The Swedish player reportedly has a knack for High Roller events; he did exactly that by winning Super MILLION$.

Previously, Andersson, nailed the short heads-up duel. The GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H winner was up against player Julian Stuer in heads-up. The Swede laughed his way to the bank when he won a prize money of USD 1,537,605. During this heads-up tournament, Andersson took more than two and a half hours to lock his victory. He tackled six opponents as inched closer to the winning title. The runner-up of the heads-up tournament, Stuer also knocked down two of his rivals and bagged USD 1,185,655 in prize money. It was a brilliant show on Steur’s part as well.

Darrell Goh came in third while Stevan Chew aka Steve Austin pocketed a satellite win in the fourth place. Chew converted this fiery win into a jaw-dropping six-figure payday. Other finalists include names like Taylor Paur and Alex Foxen. Both these talented players turned into casualties on the final day.

Indian player finishes 5th 

Special mention goes to unnamed Indian poker player by the nickname “level29” who clinched the 5th spot in this prestigious event on GGPoker. This player goes down in the online poker history books after finishing 5th for a massive payday of USD 543,626 (~INR 4.09 Crore). This is one of the biggest payouts to an Indian in online poker history and is surely a matter of pride for level29 and all Indian poker enthusiasts.
