Jared Bleznick has been crowned the High Stakes Duel 5 champion after an impressive sweep of three consecutive victories against poker legend Patrik Antonius. Playing a unique mix of No-Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha, Bleznick demonstrated his versatility and skill across all three rounds, ultimately securing his place among the game’s elite.
The competition began with Round 1, featuring a $50,000 buy-in from each player. Bleznick claimed victory, prompting Antonius to exercise his right to a rematch in Round 2, where the stakes doubled to $100,000 per player. Bleznick again emerged victorious, securing back-to-back wins. Refusing to back down, Antonius challenged for a third round, this time with a $200,000 buy-in per player.
The decisive Round 3, held at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, was a gruelling battle lasting more than five hours. Once the final hand was dealt, Bleznick once again stood victorious, prompting Antonius to concede defeat. In the end, Bleznick walked away with a total of $350,000 in winnings, having swept the Poker Hall of Famer in three straight rounds. This is a unique wash-out victory that Bleznick has pulled off and will serve as an inspiration for younger and aspiring poker players. It was something unique, and poker enthusiasts all over the world have been following the duel between the two poker players – arguably two of the biggest names in the poker industry today.
With this victory, Bleznick not only claims the prize money and championship belt but also solidifies his legacy in the High Stakes Duel series. He joins the exclusive company of Phil Hellmuth, Jason Koon, and Daniel Negreanu as champions of PokerGO’s signature heads-up competition. Blenick was the inaugural champion of the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Super High Roller Bowl Champion back in 2023, taking home $1,292,000.
