Jakub Oliva wins WSOP International Circuit Main Event

The WSOP Europe gathered pace with numerous entries and challengers in Czech, alongside the €10,350 WSOP International Circuit Main Event which already went into the books after crowning Jakub Oliva at the King’s Casino, Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

The Main Event saw a field of 728 entries including 55 online entries at partypoker, all aiming to secure the €205,000 top prize, the prestigious golden ring, and WSOP Europe Main Event ticket. As the event progressed, the top 77 players were paid out including six online players, all guaranteed €3,500 at the beginning of Day 3.

The third and ultimate day saw the final players running deep for fifteen long hours. With Oliva and Israel’s Shay Rozenbaum, the chip leader bagging the maximum stack eliminated several opponents. Day 3 saw Anatoly Filatov making a deep run, but his journey ended in 16th position when his pocket eights failed to win against the ace-king of Toon Hanot.

Other notable players on the final table included Andrei Makavets, winning the WSOPC Mini Main Event recently for €120,850 plus a WSOPE Main Event Ticket. Oliva had led for most of the FT, ending heads-up in just 15 minutes. Oliva was all-in for the win with jack-ten on the turn against jack-eight with the fates giving him triple tens on the flop while Hanot had flopped a gutshot straight draw but eventually settled for the second position.

With the biggest win of his career, Oliva won the WSOP Circuit event along with all the players who reached the final table. With total live earnings of $318k, he was last recorded to have won the 2017 PokerFever Main Event in Olomouc. He earned his previous career-best live cash of $101,552 for finishing 3rd in the WSOPC Main Event at Rozvadov in March this year.
