Jagdeep Singh finishes 20th in Big Wrap PLO

The 2019 Big Wrap series finally wrapped up at King’s Casino, Rozvadov. The series ran between 1-8 April 2019 at the venue and heavyweights like Bertrand ‘EklY’ Grospellier, casino owner Leon Tsoukernik, etc. were present to play in the field.

Out of these, 170 progressed to Day 2, including 3 Indians Jagdeep SinghManish Goenka and Gaurav Gala, however, yesterday when the final day was played, only Singh finished with a pay-check at 20th place. Singh earned €10,677 (~INR 8.36 Lakhs) as his pay-out.

The top 55 places were paid in this event with the min-cash being €5,284. The field was filled with players from all around the region. Winning the kill-shot first-place cash prize and the title was Lautaro Valentino Guerra Cabrerizo. He earned €209,221 (~INR 1.64 Crores) at King’s Casino.

Coming to Singh, he is a well-known community player but is known to prefer PLO over other formats and has numerous cashes. He hails from India but mostly likes to play abroad in bigger events, like this one. He has earned numerous cashes and now sits with almost $87k in live cashes. His biggest live score came in 2017 WSOP 8-Handed at 9th place for ~$20k.

Coming to the winner, Cabrerizo has a couple of cashes in previous live tournaments, one from 2012 CNP Main Event in Spain and the other in 2017 WSOP Circuit ME. This win is his first major live cash and also his biggest one. He will be looking to build on this momentum and play some more poker using this money, and if all goes well, he can run like his fellow countryman Ramon Colillaswho won PSPC with a Platinum Pass and subsequently became a PokerStars Team Pro.
