IOPC Day 8: Sahil Chutani Nails High Roller For Over 23 Lakh


The India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) has been going full throttle. Day 8 of the series concluded yesterday amid high action and drama. While several top players were seen grinding hard, notable names like Laksh Pal Singh, Sahil Chutani nailed top titles leaving the competition to bite dust.

IOPC #45 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

The first tourney of the day, IOPC #45 was a progressive knock-out (PKO) tourney. It witnessed participation from 637 entries, out of which the top 55 places made it in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹1,872. The final prize pool stood at ₹4,45,900 after it surpassed the initial guarantee by a slim margin.

Saransh Garg aka ‘iammrmeeseeks’ topped the table and added ₹62,404 to his bankroll. Prakhar Kapoor aka ‘Prak27’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹58,754.

The min-cash stood at ₹4,740. Himanshu Chhikara aka ‘fizzlo’ shipped this event for ₹1,02,867. At the runner-up spot Amit Kaushik took home ₹84,446.

IOPC #47 Monster Stack – ₹5.75 Lakh GTD

IOPC #47 witnessed some intense action as the advertised guarantee was surpassed generating a final prize pool of ₹8,48,800. The top 95 places of the massive 1,061 entries finished in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹2,503.

Saahib Bawa aka ‘Str8$$$Homey’ grabbed his second IOPC title after winning one just yesterday. Bawa cashed ₹1,61,951 in prize money. Vinay B aka ‘ConCrete’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹99,989.

IOPC #48 Tuesday Prime – ₹35 Lakh GTD

IOPC #48 Tuesday Prime was the second biggest tourney of the night. It witnessed the top 87 places out of the impressive 1,007 entries grabbing a slice of the final prize pool which stood at ₹40,28,000. The min-cash at this tourney was  ₹12,486.

Mystery player ‘Sami5’ shipped the tourney and cashed an impressive ₹7,71,362. WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer aka ‘hightr0ller’ was the runner-up who pocketed ₹4,80,138 in winnings.

IOPC #49 High Roller – ₹1 Crore GTD

One of the marquee events of this edition of IOPC also took place yesterday. The tourney surpassed its initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹1,19,50,000 which was a giant figure to fight for. The tourney had 239 entries battling it out. However, only the top 27 places enjoyed a share of the prize pool. The min-cash stood at ₹1,19,500.

Online reg Sahil Chutani aka ‘$lim$hady19’ and IOPC July 2021 Legends winner Amit Gehani aka ‘Kavipri’ ended the tourney in a deal. Chutani laughed his way to the bank with ₹23,20,343, while Gehani bagged an enticing figure of ₹21,13,107 in prize money.

IOPC #50 Tuesday Spotlight – ₹18 Lakh GTD

This event witnessed some power-packed action as the initial guarantee was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹21,90,000. The min-cash stood at ₹9,526, and the top 63 places of the 730 entries made it in the money. 

Thursday Round Up: Laksh Pal Singh, Harshit Sanghi Among Last Night’s Title Winners

IOPC January 2021 Main Event champion Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘LuckyBhai$’ and Romit Advani aka ‘titl_83’ ended the tourney in a deal. Singh added ₹3,50,321 to his bankroll, while Advani settled for ₹3,40,624.

  • Buy-in: ₹3,300
  • Places paid: 63
  • Min-cash: ₹9,526

IOPC #51 All Rounder – ₹12 Lakh GTD

This tournament had 676 entries, out of which the top 63 places finished in the money. The initial guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹13,52,000. The min-cash paid was ₹5,881.

Madhab Pal aka ‘MADHAB PAL’ nailed the tourney and took home a pay cheque of ₹2,33,544. At the runner-up spot, Aryan Singh aka ‘bob_marley’ took home ₹1,93,012.
