Day 16 of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 had several winners amongst which pros like Debayan Das and Vishal Bajaj made it big yet again. As for the leaderboard, Anuj Yadav aka ‘tittooTauji’ has been leading the race for the past four days. To know more about the action that unfolded yesterday, let’s do a quick recap.
The first event of day 16 was a deal between Induprakash Mishra aka ‘Fixed Odds’ and Pranav Agarwal aka ‘pranav40973.’ Mishra cashed ₹36,609 in prize money while Agarwal added ₹36,153 to his bankroll. The tournament had a total of 900 entries. The top 39 players were paid a min-cash of ₹1,863.
The second tournament of the day was also a deal between pro player Surbhit Grover aka ‘grovahova’ and Naved Ahmed Naushad Shaikh aka ‘zenaved11.’ Grover received a pay cheque of ₹98,152 while Shaikh cashed ₹89,542. The tournament had 355 entries in total and the top 27 players in the field were paid a min-cash of ₹5,500.

IOPC #97 PKO was an ₹880 buy-in tournament. The event had 589 entries in total and the top 47 players were paid a min-cash of ₹2,350. This tournament was shipped by Joseph Rochungh Touthang aka ‘axone.’ Touthang took home ₹80,357 in prize money. The advertised guarantee of this ₹880 buy-in event was surpassed by a thin margin and the new prize pool stood at ₹4,71,200.
This Monday Prime was a deal between Debayan Das aka ‘MonsterD’ and Ashit Sharma aka ‘D.Carwin1.’ Das took home ₹3,48,718 in prize money while Sharma cashed ₹3,05,513 in this ₹2,200 buy-in event. Both the players fired two bullets each. Das has been on a winning spree lately as it was just yesterday when he nailed the IOPC #94 PKO ₹8.5 Lakh GTD tournament and cashed ₹1,35,793.
Notable players who made it in the money were Armaan Kochhar (18th, ₹16,090), Alok Birewar (30th, ₹9,222), Abhishek Goindi (45th, ₹7,950), Peter Nazareth (47th, ₹7,950), Aniket Waghmare (66th, ₹7,102) among others.
Grinders who could not make it in the money were Siddhanth Kripalani (115th), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (125th), Sahil Mahboobani (128th), Anirban Das (135st), Anuj Yadav (158th), Nitin Arora (165th), Sanket Arora (172nd), Rajeev Kumar (170th), Vivek Singh (179th), Gaurav Sood (182nd), Mohit Mehta (185th) among others.
The top 95 players were paid a min-cash of ₹6,254. The advertised guarantee of this event which had 1,060 total entries was surpassed by a small margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹21,20,000.
Vishal Bajaj aka ‘CrownUpJr’ is not unheard of in the 11th edition IOPC. He was leading the IOPC United final table and put up a tough fight. Bajaj sadly busted on the 6th spot. Yesterday, this pro shipped the ₹3,300 buy-in Monday Spotlight tournament and thickened his bankroll by ₹1,56,937. The tournament had 167 entries in total and the top 23 players were paid a min-cash of ₹7,830.
Notable players who could not make it in the money were Sahil Mahboobani (25th), Dhirendra Kumar (30th), Gaurav Sood (38th), Mohit Mehta (46th), Siddhanth Kapoor (67th), Amit Gehani (72nd), Vivek Singh (74th), Anirban Das (85th), Kanchan Sharma (87th), Alok Birewar (92nd), Sanket Arora (98th), Abhishek Goindi (110th), Anant Purohit (133rd), Aniket Waghmare (141st), Anuj Yadav (165th), Rohan Bhasin (167th) among others.
The last tournament of the day was shipped by online reg Rajat Mahajan who cashed a hefty ₹2,00,747 in prize money. The tournament had 515 entries in total and the top 47 players were paid a min-cash of ₹5,871. The advertised guarantee of this ₹2,200 buy-in tourney was surpassed and a new prize pool of ₹10,30,000 was formed.

Players who busted without making it in the money were Kanchan Sharma (51st), IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner Anurag Srivastava (55th), Sahil Mahboobani (71st), Vishal Bajaj (86th), Siddhanth Kapoor fired three bullets (96th), Sanket Arora fired two bullets (106th), Nitin Arora fired two bullets (108th), Armaan Kochhar with three bullets (110th), Rohan Bhasin (111th), Gaurav Sood (117th), among others.
