Global Poker Awards 2024: Dates, Venue and More

Global Poker Index (GPI) announced the much awaited dates for its 2024 awards. This event will be hosted on 24th February 2024 at PokerGo Studio at Aria Resort and Casino. The highly anticipated awards night will celebrate the excellence in the poker industry with the who’s who from the circuit in attendance.

The 5th Global Poker Awards will present 29 awards to the winners. While GPI Player of the Year has been announced in the form of Bin Weng, the GPI award of Merit went the GGPoker way for Game of Gold. This show had everyone glued to their screens as the game unfolded and a winner was crowned in Maria Ho.

Other award categories include, Player’s Choice for Toughest Opponent, Best Vlogger, Event of the Year among others. This year GPI also introduced new categories like Best Short-Form Content Creator and Best Stand-Alone Festival or Series. This event will be hosted on 24th February 2024 at PokerGo Studio at Aria Resort and Casino.

The 2024 edition of Global Poker Awards will also see people send nominations. Earlier only industry panelists shared their suggestions for the nominees but now GPI is accepting nominee names from the general public as well.

GPI Awards

Talking about the GPI’s awards, the season kicked off in 2001 in Europe which later moved to Los Angeles in 2014. The awards night is a fun mix of glitz, glam, poker talent being honoured and having a gala time. The tradition continued through the years with valuable additions being made as the poker game grew bigger and widened its base and topped the popularity charts across the globe. 

Some well-known personalities across the years have won the prestigious GPI awards. Folks like Phil Ivey, Robbie Jade Lew, Ethan Yau, Kevin Martin, Will Jaffe, Gabe Kaplan, Stephen Chidwick, Dan Cates, Stephen Song, among others were awarded for their excellence in the field in 2023.
