GGPoker Now Has PokerArabia On Its Network

GGPoker is all set to become one of the biggest names in the poker industry, not that it isn’t already among them. The online poker behemoth has announced that BetArabia and PokerArabia will join its network shortly, making BA’s players eligible to play the bracelet games of the online World Series of Poker.

PokerArabia is the Middle East’s only government-licensed poker room. With the oil-rich country now getting onto GGPoker’s poker rooms, the term ‘super high roller’ should take on a whole new meaning. The Poker Room is based in Lebanon. The migration itself will happen on 1st of September, and Poker Arabia players will be able to compete in the main global liquidity pool.

With Arabian players bound to get a taste of the big leagues of poker, live poker might also make its way to their shores.

Speaking on the occasion of the announcement, Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker, stated: “We are incredibly excited to welcome PokerArabia players to the GGPoker family. This partnership with Casino Du Liban underscores our commitment to bringing global liquidity and the best online poker experience to players worldwide. Lebanese players can now look forward to joining the world’s biggest poker community and competing in the best games and biggest tournaments available anywhere.”

Jad Gharios, Chairman and CEO of Onlive Support Services (the operator of BetArabia and PokerArabia by Casino du Liban license), added, “We are constantly looking to provide our clients with the best services and products in the market, and our partnership with GGPoker complements this direction. We look forward to the online launch, offering WSOP Online to the region, and hosting a live WSOP event at the historically-acclaimed Casino du Liban in the near future.”

The deal closed for a $500 million market-changing deal. It consisted of cash and a promissory note. GGPoker is an online poker room operator established in 2014. Initially focused on the Asian online poker market, it has expanded to Europe since then. 

The World Series of Poker has a rich history of international expansion, beginning with the introduction of WSOP Europe in 2007 and WSOP APAC in 2013 and 2014. Most recently, the Bahamas hosted WSOP Paradise for the first time in 2023. Less than a month ago, WSOP announced the festival’s return to the Caribbean in December this year.
