Gear up – The Spartan Super Series is back again!

Just a couple of weeks back, The Spartan Poker concluded what was one of their most successful online poker tournament series ever, with the India Online Poker Championship guaranteeing over INR 7 crore in prizes, along with a Jeep Compass and Bajaj Dominar given away on the IOPC Leaderboard.

You could feel the excitement at the virtual felts on Spartan, with Sangeeth Mohan winning the Main Event and Pulkit Goyal having a brilliant series to top the IOPC leaderboard and win the Jeep Compass. Players will barely be recovering from the IOPC hangover, and Spartan is all set to bring them another big series.

Spartan is back with another edition of the Spartan Super Series (SSS), this time scheduled between 13-19 August and INR 3.7+ crore being kept aside in guaranteed prizes. 37 tournaments will take place in the span of a week in the August edition of the SSS, and players will be preparing for this spectacular series.

The usual featured tournaments on Spartan will see higher guarantees, while the highlight of the series is set to be the Main Event, which has an advertised guarantee of INR 75 lakh. It has a buy-in of INR 11,000 and will take place on the final day of the series. Other big tournaments to watch out for in this SSS are:

  • PLO HighRoller – INR 20 lakh GTD.
  • Super HighRoller – INR 40 lakh GTD.

The SSS Leaderboard is also something that everyone will have their eyes on, with the most consistent players being rewarded the top prizes. A total of INR 10 lakh is up to be won on the SSS Leaderboard, with the top finisher taking home a pay-check of INR 4 lakh. See the full series schedule here:

The previous edition of the SSS was held just a couple of months back in June, where Vinod Megalmani aka ‘Champ1234’ won the SSS Main Event for INR 15+ lakh, while the Leaderboard was topped by Rohit Mishra aka ‘Romoid’.

Will there be new winners in August’s SSS? Or will we see the experienced online pros dominating the major tournaments? This is something we will all have to wait and watch. For those participating, save the dates in your calendar. Also, keep reading GutshotMagazine.com for daily updates of the SSS once it begins.
